I have been trying to get a few jobs about the house done recently, little uns room done just ours to do!, I have also for ages been meaning to make a coat hook for the back of the door, mainly
because I just hang my work coats and fleeces over the top of the door.
So I set to work on this.
Its made from Apple wood with Ash hooks, I really like the grain in the Apple.
I really wanted to make something rustic rather than styled I think it works in its own way.
looks good Simon, might have to 'borrow' that idea
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteThe wavy outline and the grain work well together.
ReplyDeleteHow are the ash pegs/hooks fitted?
I was thinking the same thing Kepis. My wife has been asking about a coat rack for the back of a closet door just like this! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteGood job Simon. Well executed, like the balled peg ends...Nice bit of spalted wood as well...Cheers...J;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
ReplyDeleteRob the pegs are Mortice and tenon fitted, they are nice and tight too, I did think of other ways but settled on this, I'm working on one for my daughters room at the moment as my wife loved it!. I think it just might have to be painted pink with flowers though ! :)
