Finaly got my shave horse done.

Well after a year or near about I have finaly finished my new shave horse, Its made from Oak and Ash.

This is how it stated in Jully last year.

And how it looks today, nicely weather worn.

I have a few projects to be getting on with and I'm looking forward to using my new shave horse.

  4. nice horse simon- i like your black and white photos- as for th' bow, almost any wood will work, it's more about th' way you build it than th' type of wood you use- i've made bows out of all kinds of wood, even aspen and russian olive- horrible bow woods, but they worked- maybe not as fast as others, but it was still worth the learning experience.... good luck, ~rico

  5. I'm new here and I have wanted to make a shave horse for a long time now. And I've tired finding plans with measurements and I'm having a hard time. Any help would be great.
