Eating with wooden spoons

My daughter Elizabeth has been eating more with wooden spoons for a couple of months now and is enjoying using them. Yesterday she asked me to make her another spoon, this one is made from Cherry from a bent branch. It has a lovely curve and is perfect for her hands.










































It is finished with the knife and oiled with flax seed oil.
It will be nice to see how it ages over its years of use.

    Thanks for the share. I'm really interested in the part "see how it ages over its years of use". I cannot imagine that my spoons will survive years of use even with the best care. Can you please tell me about your experience on this?

    Sorry I have just seen your reply, I am interested in how the spoon patinas over time, also the little marks from use, like her little teeth marks that have appeared on the bowl of the spoon, hopefully it will last for years but with children things need to be tough to survive.

    No problem, I'm trying to follow your work. Will have to wait to find out how the spoons age. Will encourage friends and familie to actualy use the spoons I gave. Not telling they are human guinea pig's of my work.

    I made a willow spoon for my eldest boy (he was about 1 at the time). He bit a chunk off after two days.
