Serving spoons.

I have been making a few spoons ready to take to Spoonfest this year to sell, I have quite a few eating spoons but no serving spoons so today I set about making a few.
I had some nice spalted Alder and a very nice Rhododendron branch with a fantastic crook,The Rhododendron is from a job we have been working on and is crying out for a big spoon.
I managed to get the two done in a couple of hours but the Rhododendron is still very wet so needs to dry out.

This is the spalted Alder serving spoon which is 250mm long.

I'll get a few pics when I've finished the Rhododendron spoon.

  2. Hi have to agree, each spoon maker has their own slant. Your carving is so good it would be great to see the whole process - if you've got the time.

  6. Since ages, we have seen our parents and grandparents talk about the benefits of having desi ghee onlinein our meals on a daily basis.

South India was known for using cold pressed oil. Bullocks were led around the 'chekku ennai', turning the wooden crusher to extract oil.

I am using the marachekku oil for the last 3 months. Not even a single oil bottom is damaged and it is excellent product I am happy with their products so I ordered for my sisters also. If they provide offers like family pack then it would be good for the customers those who buy regularly.

I have used marachekku ennai from another brand earlier and found them to be quite good. However this oil has a bad smell which affects taste.
