My new axe

I recieved my new axe head from Nic Westermann last week.
The axe is the one I helped to make at Spoonfest with Nic, I posted about it earlier in my blog.
I have made a handle from Ash for it and it turned out very well.

I made a sheath out of some thick leather to protect the edge and me from the edge! as its very sharp with nice flat bevels.
The edge is 12 1/2 cm long and from the edge to poll its 12 1/2 cm all in its weight is 728g.
Its a fantastic light carving axe and a dream to use.
