Acer pseudoplatanus (sycamore) one of my favourite woods

Sycamore is one of my favourite woods to carve at the moment, it carves very well and finishes from the knife giving a nice and smooth cut.
I have been carving quite a bit of it recently since I damaged my leg and I've been enjoying it.
Here are a couple of spoons that I have carved recently, both are eating spoons and are designs that I have been working on.

    Nice Simon, I particularly like the carving on the keel, on the reverse of the second spoon - I haven't seen that done before.
