Splitting larger diameter logs

I've recently run out of smaller diameter wood to use so have split some larger wood to use for some spoons.
The smaller stuff was easy for me to do with my leg being the way it is, but it looks like it's on the mend as I am able to put weight on it at the minute without much pain.
So with my trusty Elwell wedges and my axe I set to this Sycamore log to split down.

A few spoons marked out on pieces that were cut down.

A few spoons carved ready for the oil.
