I've made a couple of Willow cooking spoons recently so I thought that I would post a pic or two.
I have been busy trying to get my buisiness up and running lately so carving is kept to a minimum at the moment.

Lilac sugar scoop
I was able to get my hands on some decent sized Lilac from a job last week, I have been after some for ages as it is very nice wood to carve, it finishes wonderfully from the knife and it has a stunning heart wood.
Most of the pieces I have are of small spoon size, but I have a few for some eating spoons.
I have made a few sugar scoops, this one is a keeper the others I have gifted to some friends, I plan on making a few more as I like carving small scoops and I think they might sell well.

Horse Chestnut eating spoon.
I have been carving quite a bit of Horse Chestnut recently, I came from a wonderful tree that was removed because of development, a shame really as it was of a good age.
Its finished in oil paint with a few coats of flax seed oil, and chip carved decoration.
Its very nice wood to finish and is lovely and smooth from the knife.
I like the shape of this one and plan to make some more like it.
