A few eating spoons in Cherry and Alder

Heres a few that I have finished recently, some are painted and just need oiling, others are oiled with no paint. I love making eating spoons and I love using them to eat with, making them is fun for me as its great to get them right, shape, size and design. All these are made from straight wood which I have carved them with a cook and all are finished with the knife, like all my spoons.

  1. Hi Simon, immensely impressed with your development and the high quality of your spoons. Lovely shapes, beautiful tool finishes and really nice detailing with the chip carving and kolrosing. I haven't done much myself and my skills certainly aren't a match for yours but I'll hopefully get cracking again with the inspiration you're providing here. It's wonderful to see you running courses of your own and taking the leap into self-employment. Great stuff!

  2. Thank you Graeme. I'm enjoying my courses and being self employed is a challenge, I'm glad to hear from you again and I look forward to seeing your work again my friend.
    All the best.

    Simon.
